The advisor is a large language model that answers fantasy basketball questions using HoopModel's own data: the nightly player projections, each player's season averages, and the pace and defensive context shown on the projections table. It is instructed to base every recommendation on those numbers and to say which ones drove the call, so its answers reflect who is actually producing right now rather than name recognition.
Getting a useful answer
Specific questions get specific answers. Paste your roster, say whether your league is points or category scoring, and include the matchup score if you're chasing a particular category. 'Who should I start at guard tonight between these three?' will get a sharper answer than 'Who is good?'.
The advisor can be wrong, especially about late injury news that arrives after the nightly projections run. Treat it as a well-informed second opinion, not a final word, and it is never betting advice.
